Life Beginnings
Welcoming Newborns & Children
There are many rituals to welcome newborns and young children into the traditions of Judaism. Jewish tradition welcomes male babies with brit milah on the 8th day after their birth. And just as family formation in our modern world has expanded how we experience bringing children into the world, Jewish wisdom tradition and creativity opens infinite possibilities for families interested in ritual recognizing the birth of a child(ren) and adoption.
Ritual can also help us to sanctify moments of discernment around both choosing to begin the process of creating new life or to ease transitions related to challenges we face along the way. Rabbi Jessica works with individuals, couples, and families to navigate these more private and tender moments.
