The month of Sh’vat begins, this year, on the evening of Sunday, January 2nd. Rosh Chodesh is an opportunity to welcome the new month. It is also a Jewish holiday that has long be linked, by agadah (Jewish story), to women. This year the months of the Hebrew and the Gregorian calendars are fairly well aligned, however, the Hebrew month always follows the cycles of the moon. In the darkness of the moon, we welcome a new month. Come and explore the fruitfulness and fertility of the month of Sh’vat (in which we celebrate the New Year of the Trees when the moon is full) and our connection with the Divine Feminine.
